This is a healthy pie crust and virtually cholesterol free. You will be amazed at how easy it is to make!
PIE CRUST PASTRY
In a food processor place:
2 2/3 cup wholemeal flour
4 tablespoons raw sugar
Turn on food processor and slowly drizzle in 1/2 cup canola oil
Add in 7 tablespoons ice cold water (or milk), 1 tablespoon at a time
Remove from mixing bowl and divide into two balls. Each ball is enough for 1 pie crust or pie top/ lattice. Place onto a square of baking paper and flatten into a circle. Place another sheet of baking paper on top. Roll out dough between paper until desired size is achieved. Remove top paper and place pastry with bottom paper into baking pan. If desired brush lightly beaten egg white over pastry to prevent sogginess from filling. Add filling. Bake as per pie filling instructions.
